Diagnostic Testing

The Maro Group provides expert internist healthcare to the greater Voorhees, NJ region

Diagnostic Tests

Electrocardiogram

One of the most common diagnostic tests that our internists use is an electrocardiogram (EKG). This test measures the electrical activity of the heart and can help identify potential problems such as arrhythmias, heart attacks, and other heart-related conditions. During an EKG, electrodes are placed on the chest, arms, and legs, and the electrical activity of the heart is recorded and analyzed.

Blood Work

Another common diagnostic test that our internists use is blood-work. Blood tests can provide valuable information about a patient’s overall health and can help identify potential problems such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and liver or kidney disease. Blood tests may include a complete blood count (CBC), which measures the number of red and white blood cells in the body, as well as tests for specific substances such as glucose, cholesterol, and liver enzymes.

X-rays, CT Scans & MRI’s

We may also use imaging tests such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to help diagnose and monitor a variety of conditions. These tests can provide detailed images of the body’s internal structures and can help identify potential problems such as tumors, fractures, and other abnormalities.

Other Testing

In addition to these tests, our internists may also use other diagnostic tools such as pulmonary function tests, which measure lung function, and stress tests, which measure the heart’s response to physical activity. These tests can help identify potential problems such as asthma, COPD, and heart disease.

The Maro Group diagnostic testing services are essential for identifying potential health problems and developing treatment plans for our patients. By using a variety of tests and diagnostic tools, we can provide accurate diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs.
